A Legacy of Bold Pride

Betty's Baby is born out of family love and lived experience in a world that sometimes struggled to see all of who the founder is. The founder is Monique Hinson-Coleman – a proud biracial woman, shaped by the powerful story of her mother, Betty Hinson-Hadley. Betty was only seventeen when she brought Monique into this world, standing tall despite a time that was not always kind to multiracial families. Betty carried Monique through every storm, never letting go, no matter what barriers society threw in her path.
Growing up, Betty's resilience and her pride in their blended heritage always shined bright. Together with Monique's stepdad Harry and sisters Jennifer and Patricia, their home pulsed with laughter, strength, and celebration of everything that made them unique. Betty's Baby started as a tribute to that enduring spirit – a mission to make fashion more than fabric, turning each tee and hoodie into a wearable shout of cultural pride.
This journey is deeply personal. Every design is crafted as a love letter to everyone who's ever felt unseen. Betty's Baby is more than an apparel brand. It is a growing movement woven from real stories and brave hearts, inviting you to celebrate who you are while honoring the paths that shaped us. Here, diversity is not just stylish - it is powerful, and you are always welcome.

Our Founder
Hello, my name is Monique Hinson-Coleman and I am Betty's Baby! My business is to honor my mom Betty Hinson-Hadley. Betty was a proud teen mom during a time where racial diversity was not fully accepted! She had me after running away from home at 17 years old and she never let me go no matter the obstacles!
My mom raised me along side my wonderful stepfather Lenarr (Harry) Hadley and together they brought into the world my (not so little now) sisters Jennifer Hadley-Jackson and Patricia Hadley! From the day they were born I had a never ending smile on my face! My hope is to wear expressions promoting the pride of being bi/multi/racial!
